Nottingham Food Pantry Club

Did you know that Nottingham has a Food Pantry Club?  I’ve lived in Nottingham for 7 years and didn’t know about this great program so I wanted to share it here so that are members might get involved.

Below is a post I found on The Forum from Karen Davidson explaining the program.

Are you a member of the Food Pantry Club? It is easy to join. Each month when you shop just pick up a few items to donate to the Pantry. The Nottingham Food Pantry Club is making a change in collection dates. Instead of going from the 15 to 15 of each month, donations for an item will be collected from the start of a month to the end of the month.

Instead of ending on May 15, this month’s needed items, Side Dishes, Crackers and Jelly, will end on May 31!

Can you hear the sleigh bells, and see the snow? No? Well it is never to early to start reminding everyone about the Stuff A Stocking Campaign. This year, instead of waiting until November to announce this, the Nottingham Food Pantry Club is announcing this campaign earlier. Please think of the kids (infants to age 12) who would love to have a stocking filled with items on Christmas day. Buy what you would buy your own child, and then bring the items down to the Food Pantry, at the end of November, or beginning of December!

Cleaning products, dish washing, soap, bathroom cleaners, detergent, SOS, Brillo, are the items that are needed for June 1 to June 30.

July 1 to July 31 will be our new Heat in July Campaign. More on this new campaign coming shortly!

Please pass this info along to your neighbors and friends. Chelli Tennis, the director of the Food Pantry, thanks everyone ahead of time for donating! Drop your donation off at Liar’s Paradise on Route 152.

If you have any questions, or need your donation to be picked up, please contact Karen at 734-2288 or email rhian25556ATaol.com.
